HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
To the United States
Face The World offers Academic Semester (5-month) or Year-long (10-month) programs for students to live and attend school in the U.S. Foreign students, ages 15 to 18, travel to the United States for 5 or 10 months during which time they live with a volunteer host family and attend a local high school.
During the application and acceptance process, students are screened for academic performance, English ability, and emotional maturity. Orientation is provided prior to departure and after arrival in the United States. Students and host families are supervised and counseled by local Community Representatives, who provide continual updates on students to our national office and the overseas agency who stays in touch with the students' parents.

From the United States
Face The World offers Academic Semester (5-month) or Year-long (10-month) programs for American students to live and attend school abroad. Locations we offer include Belgium, France, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and more! American students, ages 15 to 19, can apply to study abroad for 5 or 10 months. These students live with host families and attend schools in the country they choose. It is a terrific way for students to improve their knowledge of a second language and be exposed to a new culture.
During the application and acceptance process of cultural exchange program, students are screened for academic performance, emotional maturity, and if they are interested in going to a non-English speaking country, they will be evaluated in their speaking ability for the particular language of that country.
